ASEMPA CHAMBERS is the biggest law firm in the then Brong Ahafo Region now Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Region in the Republic of Ghana. A firm that has lawyers practicing as members of ASEMPA CHAMBERS and staff of diverse experiences providing cohesive legal services.
It was established out of the need for an improvement in the justice delivery system.
The late Otu-Essel Kwadwo Fordjour Kingsley alias Lawyer Otu-Essel founded the Asempa Chambers in January, 1996 with Lawyer Williwise Kyeremeh as his first junior and later Lawyer Kwasi Ameyaw Cheremeh joined them.
He run the chambers to the best of his knowledge and ability and admitted junior Lawyers several of them are on the Bench presently. He carefully, good-naturedly and meticulously trained his juniors to deliver effective justice to all manner of people. He instilled in his juniors the tenants of a good advocate, that is to be honest, self-discipline, hard work, dedicated to duty, transparent, impartial, punctual to work and be truthful at all times to their profession, clients and the public.
Some of the products of the Chambers, who are now members of the Bench are His Lordship Justice Adjei Frimpong, now a Court of Appeal Judge, Accra, His Lordship Kwasi Boakye, now a High Court Judge, Cape Coast, Her Ladyship Justice Osei Marfo Lydia (Mrs.), now a High Court Judge, Accra (Criminal Division), His Honour Osei Kofi, now a Circuit Court Judge, Berekum. All these judges are performing exceedingly well on the Bench.
Other Lawyers the Chambers have trained who are members of the Bar in private practice are: Lawyer Akwasi Arhin, Lawyer Awuah Ameyaw and Felix Kobea (Major and Colonel respectively of the Ghana Armed Forces, Accra), Lawyer Alexander Amponsah now of (Adom Legal Consult- Sunyani), Lawyer Eric Boamah, Lawyer Nana Sekyere-Boateng, Lawyer Kwasi Kankam Boadu now at the Legal Department of Koforidua Technical University(KTU), and Lawyer Joseph Addae Akwaboa.
After the demise Lawyer Otu-Essel, Lawyer Tuah-Yeboah Alfred took over the mantle of Managing the Chambers, as the Head of Chambers from December, 2015 till he was appointed by the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Darkwa Akuffo-Addo as the Deputy Minister of Justice and Attorney-General in June,2021.
Ever since Lawyer Alfred Tuah-Yeboah, held responsibility of Managing the Chambers as its Head, the Chambers has meticulously trained junior Lawyers such as Moses Kofi Obah, Roland Boadi Gyan, Obidiaba Kwabena Prince and Ohene-Essel Etur Kwasi respectively.
Currently, the firm is renamed as Otu-Essel, Tuah-Yeboah and Associates (Asempa Chambers) and being Managed by Lawyer Akwasi Arhin as the Head of the Chambers, Lawyer Joseph Addae Akwaboa as the Administrator, Roland Boadi Gyan as the Financial Secretary and Ohene-Essel Etur Kwasi as the Secretary.
The Chambers has a staff strength of five (5), two Secretaries, a filing Clerk, a Driver and a Cleaner.
